Colloquium
To fulfill requirements of the winter colloquium, students can choose either an academic or an
experiential stream. Those choosing the academic stream are required to attend a minimum of 10 academic and related events. These events will include a minimum of four ASPIRE workshops to develop professional and scholarly skills and a remaining number of scholarly events (i.e. academic talks by WLU or other faculty and graduate students, including at conferences). Those choosing the experiential stream will fulfill course requirements through either a miniinternship of the student’s choosing, carried out over 10 sessions, or conduct 10 sessions of fieldwork, on a subject of their choosing. In both streams, students will be expected to develop written reports and analyses based on these sessions. Credit will be established on a pass/fail basis.
